Motivate. Inspire. Empower.

Sapphire Community Group (Non profit)

I joined Sapphire in 2019 (together with Performing production) to help with social media, posters and other Graphic design tasks, but ended up setting their current visual identity and mentoring the interns, while giving them a boost in visual materials and promotions.

New logo

Thinking young people, women-led organization, hope, empowerment, education, support, fun.

  • Found elements that easily can be used in variety of design assets, easily replicated

  • Simple shapes to be used by designers of any level

  • Free font, that can be used both for accents and paragraphs

Inspiration behind the new logo:

Guide

No strict guidelines were given, because they are not needed. Designers volunteer to work at Sapphire, so they come and go. So at this point they needed mostly ideas and ways to use the new visual identity in the future.

Assets

Developing first posters, leaflets and brochures and setting templates for the future + setting the usage of additional typefaces and elements.

Sub-Projects

Sapphire had series of events under their organizations, which requires visuals, still conneced to Sapphire but different

“She is one of the best staff, that we had at Sapphire. Kseniia was the Head of our Graphics team at the charity. Her work was outstanding and exceeded expectations. She is a hard worker, pays attention to detail and she always meets deadlines. She is a great team player but most of a leader. She was an asset to us and will be missed greatly. It was an honour to have her on our team. She was an inspiration to us and we truly cannot thank her enough for all her great designs.”

— Jasmine Cannon-Ikurusi, CEO of Sapphire

Sapphire now

I’m glad I was part of Sapphire once and happy that visuals and suggestions I gave them helped with their development. Now, they are expanding, creating new programmes and helping young people both in Nigeria and the UK. Looking forward to working with Jasmine and Sapphire one again.
